Bottle @ Japans Restaurant An, Amsterdam. Golden blond color, mostly clear. Big, slightly frothy white head with reasonable retention. Aroma's: fruity, light sweet. A bit more sweetness retronasal. Flavor is mild fruity with a hint of bitterness. Light bodied. Delicate hops in the finish. OK.

Brewed in Belgium by Japanese is Rio Brewing’s tagline. On tap at GJBF 2013 in Osaka. Ryohei is their brewer and he brewed it at Struise in Belgium. He is a gypsy brewer & as Belgians couldn’t say Ryohei he named his brewery Rio Brewing Co. Uijin is Japanese for a samurai’s first battle & this is his first brew as a gypsy brewer, he’s a friendly guy. 5% A lovely cloudy gold with a nice foamy white head which stuck around as a thin layer on top. The aroma is a really nice belgian white smell, kind of spicy & sweet. The flavor is great, really fruity with a bitter hoppy finish to it.

Tap at GJBF 2013. Yellow, almost pastel in color. Gainy, wheat nose, citrus. Very grainy, malty flavor, bread, with some citrus. A touch tart. Decent, very interesting malt character. A bit heavy for a wit.
