16oz pour at Bardo DC. Pours a lightly hazy saffron gold with some thin white head. Nose has a lot of spice and herb, citrus, yeast, mild malt. Flavor had plenty of orange, mild malt, herbal, a little root veg, some rusty metal. Clean finish.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a decent sweet malt with pungent fruitiness. Flavor is typical pale ale malts and hops but the aftertaste has a herbal spicyness. I’m guessing this is the juniper although I have never ate a juniper berry to compare this too. It’s a ok pale ale with a little twist.

&7.99 bomber bottle. Wine Warehouse. Charlottesville. Pours an amber-peach with a soft, frothy white head. Smells of sweet fruits. There’s some apricot in there.

I tells ya, of all the beers the Yellowknife liquor store coulda imported they find the wackiest Rogues to bring up - chipotle and juniper? Selliouslee? Likez, I guess they gots all the IPAs and lagers covered with the boring stuff so here we go, get the crazy stuff from the Oregon people - why not? So, it poors with a nice lager-IPA body and good creamy head à la an English cream ale that’s in a hurry. Aroma is plenty of hops, but I’m struggling to smell the juniper. I’m a big gin kinda guy, so I’d be all over a Juniper scent if I’d found one. The flavour is some heavy malty notes with a bit of hops and, dare I say, a juniper finish. But the juniper is honeslt buried amongst the other stuff whereas I firmly believe it should be fluttering along the top. Drinkable but this is not the "exotic" brew I was expecting - it’s more of a tempered IPA that might lead to surprises for people with highly sensitive tastebuds.
