Mack 1877 er produsert med ren pilsnermalt og klassisk, tsjekkisk Saazer humle. Ølet har en markert, men behagelig bitterhet og en forfriskende krydret humlearoma.

Canned@PBF2012. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is grainy, floral, grassy and a bit rubbery. Flavour is very similar. Not all too pleasant.

Canned at PBF. Clear golden, minimal head. Hay aroma. Mid dry with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Nice saaz hop character, but the malt is too clean. Mid bitter finish.

Can at home. Pours a clear light straw-colour with a small white head. Aromas of hay, grass, some saaz hops, and is a bit sweet and dry in the end. Nothing new in the flavour with some sweet grass and hay being most dominant. In return it has a fine mediumt bitterness. Thin and watery mouth feel. The beer is a bit disappointing, but with an okay touch of hops.

On tap in Olhallen, Tromso. Clear deep amber beer, tidy off white head. Light palate, a little crisp. Minerals. A little darker malt going on here, a bare whisper of smoke and molasses. Nice fruits - a semi tart raspberry led berry fruit thing on the back end. Not bad at all.

Boks 0,5l fra dagligvarehandel i Tromsø. Gyldenbrun. KI=7

500ml can, 4.5% abv., from my local Prix store. Bright, late straw coloured body covered by a lasting, semi-dense, white head. Display of fragile lacing. Clean smell of pale malts, grassy hops and mild spices. Well balanced, lightly taste character of pale malts alongside smooth, lemon-accented hops. Short, but nice semi-dry ending of noble hops. Refreshing and food friendly (Tromsø, 05.02.2012).
