Bottle from the Windsor and Eton tap room. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a fizzy light tan head. The aroma is roasty, grassy nettle citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a dry malt, dry hop liqourice bitter, light pepper spice palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Carbonation was all up front and then it died rapidly. Needs more citrus.

Bottle at home, 22nd September 16. Pours black. Aroma is malt, caramel, sweet. Taste is sweet, sticky cararmel, malt, some chocolate, a little hop bitterness. Too sweet, more of a stout and not enough hops. Not great

Sampled @ ChrisO Pre-GBBF Shindig. 2012 Vintage bottle 62/200. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized beige head. Aroma is malts, a hint of tart dark fruits, brown malts, a bit oxidised. Tastes about the same, I don’t have anything to add really apart from a slight touch of alcohol. Medium body and carbonation. Decent.
