Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is somewhat berry forward but a lot of fruitiness from the base beer fermentation comes through too. Some cherry, cassis, and raisin compliment the blackberry notes. Hints of caramel and toffee with light oak notes. Medium light grassy, herbal phenolic notes. Pours a deep, dark red with purple and auburn hues and a large, thick, pillowy, tan/pink head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic and a bit sharp with a faint sweetness and hints of caramel and toffee notes. Moderate berry notes with lighter notes of tart cherry, cassis and raisin. Light oak notes. Light herbal, grassy phenolic notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer but its too acidic for my tastes. The acidity of the base beer combined with the acidity from the berries pushes it a bit over for me.

750ml botte at Kump's during the smashed week. Pours a dark purple with a rose head. Aroma is funk and berries. Taste is similar with lots of berries charachter, however, very dry. Too dry and acidic for me.

Sample during "Hillary’s Portland to Columbus Beer & Birthday Bash!" on 01/20/2018. Cloudy violet color with a medium thick pinkish-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of tart berry, funky yeast, oak and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart boysenberry, mildly funky yeast, vinous oak and doughy malt. The finish is tart berry jam and oak. Very good beer all around.
