3rd beer on my Flight at the Pizza Port, Ocean Beach brewpub; lunchtime 17th Jan 2018. I chose all four beers because they had brewed them on the premises (plenty more apart from my four to choose from). Or at least a sticker said it was brewed in house (looks like it's from Carlsbad though). Just like the Skid Mark brown, I was drawn to it by it's name. Golden amber body, off-white wispy head. Aroma and taste leaning towards a citrus, tropical fruit base. Some piney hop notes too, which culminate in a dry, semi-bitter finish and after taste.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Light malt and light grapefruit aroma. Malt and grapefruit flavor with light citrus. Medium bodied. Malt and grapefruit linger with light summer fruit.

Sample at Craft Tap House. Pale amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Stringy lacing. Grassy hop, citrus and malt aroma. Light to medium body with flavors of grapefruit, mild grassy hops and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draught @ Pizza Port Ocean Beach, San Diego, CA

Pours orange with a smooth head. Aroma of juicy tropical fruits, caramel and toffee. Taste is sweetish, malty and a bit stuffy with loads of hops, tropical fruits and grapefruit. Finish is sweetish, malty and hoppy. Okay.

Draught @ Pizza Port, Ocean Beach. Aroma has sweet fruity tones and pineapples. Flavour has resiny tones, some grapefruit and tropical fruits. A bit foamy palate. Not that aggressive but pleasantly balanced.

Light Amber color. Tons of grapefruit, buscuity malt, with some white wine character in the nose. Lots of crystal malts, apricots and grapefruit in the mouth. Aggressively hopped, but good malt backbone. Chewy. Good stuff.

Keg at PP OB, 13/11/14. Clear golden with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is juicy hops, pine, floral notes, orange, citric sherbets, sweet notes. Taste comprises mandarin, straw, perfumed tones, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok APA.
