(Cask at Oliver Twist, 20160324) The beer poured deep dark brown and clear. Its head was small, white and it lasted long. Aroma had caramel, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, caramel, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A nice brew I’d categorise as brown ale.

Flaska från SB. Rödbrun vätska med lågt, beigt, skum. Tydlig doft av fruktkaka, smörkola och lite blommor. Stram och neutral beska med antydning av blommor. Lite karamell i smaken så hade vi varit hemma.

Bottle, thanks to Ronny, split at Colin and the Vikings tasting "After Party", Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Clear dark amber with a good sized light beige head that retains well. Nose is biscuit malt, caramel, light hop presence, vanilla. Taste comprises caramac bar, woody tinges, bsicuit malt, more vanilla, bitter orange notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff, not sure the style category is quite right here, not quite strong enough IMHO!

500 ml bottle at Lompa Friluft, Oslo. ABV is 5.0%. Beautiful reddish brown, colour, low off-white head. Moderate malty aroma with toast and a hint of chocolate. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Lovely flavour, well balanced between the malts (brown bread, toast, lightly roasted notes of chocolate and coffee) and hops (elderflowers, grapefruit, pine). Smooth to drink.
