Spectacular deep cardinal red to magenta, clear beer with a small pink rim. Fruit and horseblanket in perfect balance, intense, intense sour cherries and their skins. Sour, pure natural sour cherries, and unbelievably intense. Warming up, the acidity gets a light lemony streak, nowhere agressive. Still really tart, yet immensly satisfying; lipsmacking acidity, yet a fruitjuice viscosity. Awfully expensive when 'young', but worth every penny. Officialy this beer was a couple of months past best before date. The idea that such a kriek can only age for 7 years beggars belief. Txs to Stef!

750ml bottle - Pours a tawny port red colour with a huge fluffy pink head. Aroma is cherry, straw and malt with some vinouus notes. A moderately sweet fruity taste, cherry, straw and almond flavours with more sour cherries in a tart and drying finish. Very good.

Bottle. Huge pink head, looks good. Mostly kriekenlambiek, there's not too much of the champagne method, though the body and carbonation are really nice. Better than other versions I've had.
