Head is medium-sized, medium-dark brown color, cofee-foam-ish. Sticks a bit. Appearance- generic black bottle cap, simple label. Medium-dark, clear, red amber, no carbonation. From - snifter Taste - malty, some roast, caramel, bitterness from the roast, Generally malty, roasty with a hint of caramel, not bad macro.

Clear nutty color with a nice frothy tan head. Looks good and inviting. Decent intensity in the aroma. Bready and toffee. Mellow and fine carbonation level. Pleasant to drink. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Lots of toffee here. Also a bit fruity and a bit nutty flavor.

On tap at Beer House No. 1, pours brings out dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted chestnuts and caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with caramel, bready malt and vegetal malts. Sweet and vegetal. Bad.

Bottle, thanks to Camons. Clear reddish brown with small foamy beige head, caramel-prunes aroma, medium carbonation, sweet caramel taste with dark fruits, smooth body, long sweetish caramel finish. Fruity taste, a bit too sweet.

Bottle in Riga. Smooth malty beginning. Easy to drink, malty with caramelly hints. Sweetish with sticky parts, round but not too easy to drink. Very dry malty in the end.

[ As Valmiermuiža Tumšais Filtrets ].Clear medium amber colour with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, hay, caramel, light bread - dark bread. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, straw, pale malt, caramel, light bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170805] 5-3-5-3-10

Bottle split at Chris & Ruth's pre GBBF Shin Dig, cheers for all the shares, 05/08/17. Copper amber pour with a decent light beige cap. Nose is grass, straw, biscuit, toffee, light fruit rinds. Taste comprises dried fruits, a touch papery, grains, straw, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average.

Clear, brown beer with a hint of red color. Good light beige head. Aroma has sweet malts, syrup and bread. Taste has malts, caramel and bread. Traditional dark and smooth lager. Decent.

Frothy beige head left a good cover on jet black slowly effervescent body. Treacle, licorice & dark spirits aroma. Medium to full bodied, super smooth & velvet like on the palate with a clean back. Sweet dark berries, stone fruit, malt, demerara, honey, aniseed & nutty tastes.
