50 cL bottle, courtesy of Ungstrup, bbf 2006. Pours hazy orange with a huge off-white to creamy head. Aroma is grassy, bretty and citrusy hoppy. Dry brett, citrusy and grapefruity. Mellow and solid hoppy. Lingering brett and grapefruity.

(Bottle 50 cl) Unclear amber golden with a thick, creamy yellowish head with good retention. Dry nose with hoppy aromas. Incredibly crisp and dry body completely dominated by notes of grapefruit and a quinine-like bitterness. Some vague earthy and rustic notes. Markedly hoppy finish. Not the most refined IPA from Mikkeller. 170206

A quite carbonated beer which leaves a lot of bubbles on the side of the glass, but also a huge light brown long lasting head. The body of the beer is a slightly hazy red. The aroma is hoppy (no wonder) with notes of citrus combined with some flowery notes. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy with notes of grass, grapefruit, and citrus, leading to a very bitter grapefruity end. The body in the middle is slightly thin, but the aftertaste is fantastic.

Cloudy red-amber color; big creamy head. Nice aroma, hoppy (European hops, old), hop resins, light flowers (orchid), ver light fruits (abricot). Medium mouthfeel, dry-bitter and a lot of resins. Of course the final is extreme and long, with caramel notes. Good, but maybe too dry and not enough malty.

Hazy orange-amber; small yellowish head. Extremely grapey nose of USA hops, fully perfumey, one smells the vines. Dry, but sweeet taste all the same, bit of juniper, and walnut peel at the very end. Smooth, creamy, and of course full-bodied. Starts great, but the finish - well, there doesn’t seem to be a finish, it ends a tad harsh - like an unfinished symphony in hops minor.

Bottle at the RBG Low Countries 2005 tasting session
Muddy orange body. Off-white head. Quite disappointing weak arom, but I found hints of sweet malts, orange, lemon, grapes. Woow, wht a bitter flavour. Harshly bitter in the beginning and somewhat milder, but stil heavily bitter in the end. The finish lasts very long. Medium to fully bodied. Unless, it’s quite undimensional, it’s very nice and the alcohol and bitterness are very nice combinated..
