Backlog 4/10-2013. Unclear dark orange body under a small off-white head. Fruity aroma with malt. Taste is sweet and slightly harsh with malt and ripe fruit. Drinkable but nothing interesting going on. Medium body and same aftertaste.

Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, dark golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is fruity and lightly malty, with some yeast scents. Sort of harsh orange peel flavor with pale malts and a touch of caramel in the back. Thin to medium body, low on carbonation. Low on bitterness all the way. A pretty boring one, can’t even say it tasted good. Not bad either though. 131004

Hazy amber color with medium sized creamy head. The aroma is a bit funky, dry, spicy (Orval). Smooth mouthfeel; dry malt flavor, with some funkyness; the bitterness is just above the required.
Probably not the way it was designed, but it’s a pleasant crippled Orval.

50 cl. bottle, BBE 27-08-2014. Hazy, orange-brown colour with a dense, off-white head. Spicy aroma with caramel malts, floral and grassy hops, herbs, a lot of herbs actually (aniseed, cadamom, licorice), some sweet fruits. Taste is light bitter. Medium body, average carbonation. Finishes bitter and spicy. To herbal-spicy to be really great.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 27.08.2014
Aroma has floury notes, berries typical to Danish ales and grey tea. Flavour has grapefruit, green tea, herbs, some spices and vegetables typical to Danish ales. Rather weird and messy – but not bad anyway.

Bottle, 5.0%. Sourish aroma, fermented berries and a little phenolic paint smell. Cloudy amber colour. Small tan head. The flavour has some toffee at first, OK bitterness. Then comes a little of the phenolic character as in the aroma, it seems strangely herbal. It is not too bad, but not that good either. Clean distinct bitterness in the finish, hint of aniseed.

Bottle from Barley Wine, Copenhagen. A bit hazy orange/amber with a fairly large white head. The aroma was on the sweet side as was the taste. Fruit, caramel and notes of grass. Medium mouth feel with not that much carbonation.
