Clear, very dark brown. Thick beige head. Very light smoky aroma, slightly meaty with some roasted malt. Flavour has roasted malt, caramel and very, very light smoke. Certainly drinkable but not really what I consider a smoked beer.

Deep amber with an off white head - Good aroma of smoked malts - Good smoked malt body with a gentle smoked profile - Smoked malt goes into the finish, and it lasts for a little while - This was very nice

Flaske på Cardinaltreff 2.påskedag: nok aroma og smak av røkte svinekoteletter til at man kan bli vegetarianer. Litt sure bær i tillegg gjør ikke saken bedre. Her skuffer Coisbo.

Ebony. Beige head. Aroma of butterscotch, smoked pork shanks and burnt circuit boards. Similar taste, balanced with bitterness. A decent rauchbeer.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.2%. Very dark brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of smoked meat, smoked fish and dust. Dry and dusty flavour, smoked malts with only a hint of chocolate. Not my kind of beer at all.

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Fortært i Skibotn 18 Mai 13. Dyp amber. OK litt farget skum med litt lacing. Bra aroma av lettrøkt bacon. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken litt treaktig med et gjennomgående røykpreg. Svakt syrlig ettersmak.

Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, dark chestnut color and a dense, beige two-finger head. The aroma isn’t the most complex I’ve had, with bacon and woody scents, but it’s really pleasant. The flavor is equally fine, but more complex and intense. Sweetness, bacon, smoke, ham, wood notes and some chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied and perhaps too carbonated. Overall, a really nice smoked beer. 130308
