Pizza Port OB’s house IPA. This ale is made year round for all the hop heads out there. This beer has a mixture of Simcoe and Chinook hops that give it its hoppy flavor and aroma.

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente’s Hoptoberfest. The Ocean Beach version. Very impressive. Pours with a clear golden yellow (way lighter than BJCP wants for the style, looks like it is all base malt) with a white head that lasts. Aroma of mango, papaya, guava and a myriad of other tropical fruits. Flavor is hugely fruit, especially tropical fruits, mango, guava, light caramel flavors but dry. Dry finish with lively bubbles, excellent. Full of greatness! One of the best beers of the fest (Hop Suey was probably the best).

From tap at the Carlsbad brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Again a light wine grape fruity aroma with a distinct sweet and fruity wine grape following. Followed by a more leathery and classic nelson sauvain aftertaste. Bitter and dry finish, lasting leathery impression into the far finish.

Draft at Carlsbad. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of spicy hops - Nelson Sauvin? The flavor is sweet and very spicy, lending it notes of spices, citrus fruits, and hay, leading to a very bitter finish.
