On tap @ Kick mat & Malt. Black body with a small beige head. Lovely aroma of dark malt, liquorice, chocolate and roasted coffee. Flavor is much the same as found in aroma with additional decent bitterness. Full body and nice aftertaste. Nice, but not fantastic. Feels a bit one dimensional after a while, but the first few sips where great.

33 cl bottle bought @ Barley Wine, Copenhagen. Pitch black color. Big, dense, beige head with good retention. Aroma’s: sweet malts, roast, chocolate, moccha, some red fruit, licorice. Retronasal there’s more roast, drop (or zwart/wit), charcoal, bit of alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet, with a roasted bitterness. Quite high carbonation. Medium bodied. Finishes bitter with a bit of ash. Pretty good.

Sort flott utseende med fint brunt skum. Lukter brød og mørk sjokkolade. Smaker litt brendt sjokkolade med bitter ettersmak.

Draught@CPH BF 2013. Very deep brown colour (close to black) with a big brown foamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some chocolate, mild rye and some slight spicyness. Flavour is rye, some chocolate, roasted malts, mild ashyness as well as some mild grains. Nice coffeeish tones in the aftertaste. Balanced, and hides the abv very well.
