33cl bottle from Systembolaget. Pours pitch black with a thin, lasting espresso head. Espresso, licorice, roasted malt in aroma. Licorice root, strong coffee, roastedness, tobacco, ash in flavor. Quite complex. Long finish with salty licorice and coffee. Dry, full bodied. Great sipper.

Big dark, grayish brown head. Nearly opaque black body with faint red light at edges. Roasty mineraly aroma with herbal bready notes. Dryish chocolatey mineraly taste with resiny earthy notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry earthy chocolatey pine needle aftertaste with mineraly coffee notes. Nice, drinkable, harmonic, and more than a little reminiscent of Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Sampled from a nice salesman 0.33l bottle @ Henrik. This is a deep and dark brown one with a lacing brown top. Lovely nose with a strong sweetness quickly balanced by a powerful Coffee darkness and roasted grainy malts. I have to admit that it really smells superb this! It's almost cloudy and creamy in the mouth and it had a growing tiny but above average carbonation level. Dark roasted flavors with a ton of fresh coffee and chocolate. I even get some vanilla tones in the back here and the finish remind me of brownie with salty nuts added espresso powder in the batter. Tip top notch! I want a new sample! 13.02.2014

[From my backlog. Thanks to Plovmand]. Black colour with a frothy off-white head with good duration and medium lacing. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, licorice and medium coffee. Flavor is strong coffee beans traces with wooden notes and some roasted hints, licorice and some ashes are also present. Roasty and coffee hints in the final with medium duration.

Bottle at home. The colour is pitch black and has a huge, creamy and light brown head. Has a nice roasted aroma with coffee, ash, rye bread, dark wood, nuts and leather. The flavour has even more roastedness and coffee, ash and very dark chocolate. Silky mouth feel, and has a medium to heavy bitterness. A pretty bitter, roasted and rich ale.
