Clear dark blond to gold orange beer, big creamy off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice tropical fruits, some grapefruit, lychee, some orange peel. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of citrus, little malty, grapefruit, bit grassy, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: dry, little metallic, grapefruit peel, lychee touch, some peaches, decent stuff!

Capped 750 from Whole Foods in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aroma of light stone fruit and mixed hop. Mild caramel. Med body, at least. Flavor is light stone fruit, with an unripe note, and some floral hop. Mild caramel. It’s fruity/bitter, and really quite nice. Tho far from a NW hop monster.

750ml bottle pours out a crisp golden topped with a long lasting white head. Nose is spice belg yeast and a grapefruit pithy. Taste is as the nose with a good touch of grapefruit hops and some French goodness.

The beer pours a nice medium-light amber with a big, puffy white head. It’s quite cloudy. Very good head retention. Mix of bubble sizes, which I realize is the sort of info everyone wanted to know about this beer. The aroma is a mix of hops with some gentle caramel malt and a dose of yeastiness. The hops smell of apricots, tangerines, juniper, grapefruit. Pretty fruity. The taste is relatively dry. The yeast presence is pretty strong and helps to bring out the bitterness of the beer, which is still quite mild, relative to the style. Bready malt, in the background but still present enough. Mouthfeel is light with gentle effervescence. Finish is long and lightly bitter with grapefruit pith. The beer is fun but too mild. The hops aren’t terribly juicy, and the yeast is too neutral to come in and save the day. Still, it’s fun to try a French take on the style. To be fair, there definitely could be an issue of freshness, but I am drinking this beer fairly soon after my local store received it.

Sample at the "Far Out! Space-themed beer tasting" on 10/01/2013. The beer pours a clear dark golden color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, malt and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a floral hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Small white head. Slightly hazy pale amber body. Light floral strawy aroma with fruity notes. Dry, and faintly sweet, strawy fruity candy taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish grainy strawy wooden aftertaste with resiny dandelion notes. Nice, but a little boring. (0.33l bottle at Couleurs de Bieres, Montpellier.)

Bottle from Cave à Bulles, Paris
Hazy amber color; medium sized head. Mild aroma, some orange peel, light wood; very light cereals. The flavor is well blended, some caramel and cereals, with a good bitterness level, some aromatic components too but not too much, not as expected, and not as fresh.
Quite good.
