Taster at Eruption. Brown pour, spotty head and lacing. Aroma is toasty malts, sweet. Taste is sweet with the roast coming out a bit more, burnt toast.

On tap at the brewery pours out a dark brown topped with a small tan head. Nose is nice light ash roast malts and some grass. Taste is more of the nice light roast malts and a touch of coffee.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a clear dark cola brown with an off white head. Aroma of leather and tobacco. Sweet malt flavors. Smooth finish.

Draft. Brown beer with a dark cream head. Caramel and light toffee aroma. Caramel and light roast flavor. Medium bodied. Caramel and light roast lingers.

On tap at the Mountain Brewers Festival 2013. Pours a deep brown color with a medium beige head. A sweet nose of chocolate and some dust. The flavor is light roast, chocolate, light caramel perhaps. Clean and tasty. Very rich.

On tap at the Barley Bros Brew Fest, Meridian ID. Deep clear amber with a modest light fan head. Not exactly "black" . Aroma is "amber" Flavor is a little "black". Some dark roared notes here but not quite up to what I expect a black lager to be. Clean and smooth...

Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and coffee. Taste is toasted malts and floral. Nice.

Bottle 12fl.oz.Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chocolate, butter, diacetyl. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, butter - toffee, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120515]

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of caramel, fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, caramel, and a bit of fruit, leading to a dry finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.
