Creamy tan head on a still ruby coloured body. Malt, blackberry & roasted aroma. Medium bodied, smooth thinning out to a lively dry clean back. Malt, roasted, liquorice & blackberry tastes with a tangy fruity finish. Good one,

Bottle from the Food Shop in Dartington. Appearance - deep brown to black. Slightly off white head. Nose - chocolate, nougat and sweet cereal notes. Taste - more chocolate, sticky toffee and hazelnuts. Palate - medium plus bodied. Creamy and rich in texture. Balanced, elegant finish. Overall - a lovely mild, that perhaps could also claim to be a stout.

500ml bottle shared with Finn at Tuckers Maltings Visitor Centre. Deep dark brown with a ruby glow. Fawn coloured head that laced well. Very nice in the glass. Malt-accented aroma, mid-sweet. Taste of chocolate malts, dark dough, and spiced dark fruits. Rather sweet malty ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant (Newton Abbot 27.09.2016).

Bottleshare at Chez Smith. Thanks to Dan. Clear deep red - amber beer, good yellow - cream head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, pretty mild but tangy. Mild dark chocolate. Little estery sweetness. Airy semi dry finish. Tangy linger. Just another mild.
