Bottled (thanks Recep!). Pale nutbrown colour, mediumsized off-white fluffy/foamy head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops, mild yeast, quite a big maltyness as well. Flavour is fruity, floral and quite bitter hoppy. A very nice surprise from a German brewer! These guys clearly know what they are going with the ingredients.

Bottled 750ml (bottled 010611, #135)
Hazy murky color, good cloudy head, lace. Hayish aroma. Light to medium bodied. Watery palate. Hayish flavor with some sweetness. Short hayish finish. Should be more bold perhaps.

11/10/9/11/10/11

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Cloudy amber, rich head. Floral black currant aroma. Fruity and mid sweet with mediumbody and soft, spritzy mouthfeel. Relaxed black currant hoppiness, elegant and refreshing. Like they have never brewed anything but IPAs in Bavaria...

Gathering my "stray" ratings from the Finland/Sweden/Hungary trip. Anyway, bottle no. 8, at Monk’s Café W-gatan, courtesy of and shared with omhper (and one more thanks :)). Poured an opaque brown-amber body with a thick white head that went away slowly. Fresh orange drops aroma, a nice interplay between hops and malts, some herbal notes and light alcohol? Caramel? Smooth peachy taste, full malty background, not much bitterness but very flavorful, notes of tea, notes of honey. Very good, another superb IPA I’ve had that day that doesn’t bludgeon you by bitterness but manages to create a superb interplay between the hops and the malts. I’m so damn glad to have had the opportunity to try these two beers. Riegele flew under my radar for some reason until quite recently, now I’ll definitely be checking out what they’re up to.

Bottle looks really good, no label, small paper at the neck, bottle nr. 0032. Beer in the glass dark orange, almost brown. Nice creamy head. Mild-hoppy aroma. Starts mild, wonderful flowery-hoppy, a bit grasy. Also shows some fruity notes of lemon, modest sourish, not too much. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. A great IPA!
