Breakout Stout is a bold American Stout with a sturdy hop bitterness. A hint of chocolate malt blended with a heavy hand of roasted grains provides balance and just the right complexity.

Sampled at the DC Local Tasting a 22oz bottle pours a watery, translucent mahogany with some clumpy beige head. Nose is malty, nutty, brown sugar, toasted bread. Flavor is malty, bready, crackers, smomething spicy like rye, light vanilla. Full bodied.

Black pour with a tall, lasting mocha head. Aroma of roast malt, coffee, chocolate. Well balanced flavor between the roast malt bitterness and the sweetness. The hops are there in a support role but they don’t interfere with the stout flavors. Pretty decent stout.
