From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Big hazelnut aroma with roasted malt, nicely nutty. Some bourbon as well. Sweet and heavy flavour, a bit warming. Full body. Wow, lovely hazelnut.

Bottled Sep 3rd, 2019, drunk 11/29/24. Dark, possibly clear? Can't get much but quick tan bubbles from it. Big hazelnut wrapped around rich, dark roast. Light vanilla, bourbon spice, huge black pepper and fudgey mocha notes lingering. Maybe a pinch of alcohol warmth. Not hot. The hazelnut is strong, though does integrate itself better over the course of a half hour of breathing. Syrupy, rich, sweet, but with decent attenuation and good barrel mellowness. Spicy bourbon fits right in with dark, roasty, lightly fruity coffee and huge hazelnut flavor. Some light alcohol and lots of bourbon, bitter dark malts and lingering intense flavors, fairly well-melded. Pretty insane condition for a five-year old shelfie. Given that's it's still super intense, it must have been undrinkable when fresh...

Pours jet black, tanned , medium small head of average stability. Scent is roasty, coffee, some hazelnut - clearly so but not extremely loud . Taste is full, roasty, quite bitter, coffee and hazelnut are in balance. Bit boozy touch, especially for 'only' 12 abv, since it feels more like >15 , but not too much as to make the beer unpleasant. Barrels are fairly silent, they aid the boozyness but contribute less than desired aroma.
. Ends quite bitter. Even though it certainly has sweetness, it doffers significantly to the thicker, pasty, very sweet hazelnut bomb stouts - which I absolutely love, don't get me wrong. This beer however is more of a mature imperial stout with a outspoken hazelnut and coffee character - traditionalists will sure prefer this over the pasty styles. For me personally, I would have enjoyed more body , as it's only medium thick here, and a bit more hidden alcohol. But all and all, I really enjoy this one !

Svart med lys beige skum. Lukter hasselnøtter og sjokolade. Nesten nugatti. Smak av kaffe, nøtter, trevirke og sjokolade.

brewed 2021 I must say delicious aroma of milk chocolate and hazelnuts, I can hardly find any roasted malts or anything else in there, but the hazelnut chocolate aroma is very much present, and very very nice. flavor is chocolate, hazelnuts, faint licorice, bourbon, super nice i must say, perhaps a bit too crazy sweet and chocolatey, but for a sweet imp stout this is one of the better, one of the more interesting. At times a tiny bit boozy and phenolic, but most of the time just sweet chocolate with hazelnuts. next up is the one with marshmallows. even sweeter? ugh.

12oz bottle at share, 2016 vintage. Dark brown opaque pour, thin beige head. Hazelnuts hit the nose right from the start, nutty, sweet, chocolate. Taste is sweet and sticky, hazelnuts galore and finally some boozy bourbon notes. Held up in the cellar very well.

The underlying stout is too notch. Chewy and thick and complex, low on the bitterness. The hazel is dominating but well placed. Beer temple ams
