Black color, frothy brownish head. Wonderful aroma of chocolate and hazelnut ice cream, never thought hazelnut would be so good in a beer. Lean mouthfeel, the coffee is prominent, blends well with the dark caramel, chocolate truffles; the hazelnut syrup is evident; the sweetness is very mild.
Probably the best hazelnut beer I can think of.

355ml bottle (thx, Justin W.!) at my place with Alex and Ash. Bottled on 2016-09-22. Pours a very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma is hazelnuts and chocolate. Taste is the same with moderate sweetness and low sourness. Very good.

Sample from bottle in Beer Temple, shared by Maakun - thanks! - with kermis, scoty001 and Floris (RB name?). Very dark color. Brown head, not much. Aroma’s: massive hazelnuts, Nutella, chocolate, roasted malts. Retronasal it’s hazelnuts, vanilla, sweet, chocolate. Flavor is sweet, nuts, chocolate. Medium to full bodied. Finish is roasty, light bitter. Really nice (almost in a secret pleasure kind of way)

Bottle shared. Black with nice light brown head. Massive roasted hazelnuts! Lots of coffee too, dark sweet chocolate, praline, Nutella, quite some roasted notes, a hint of vanilla and bourbon in the background but I probably only picked up on it because I was expecting it to be there. Very sweet with some roasted bitter finish. Over medium bodied with sticky feel.

12 oz. bottle shared by Willrunforbeer, cellar clean out!! The date coding marked on the bottle reads 1/ 22/ 16. Pitch black in color. Aroma is really nice. Bold hazelnut mixed with coffee and chocolate.
Flavor shows the same boldness of hazelnut with the coffee milder. Also a walnut or earthy "nutty" nuance. Bourbon seems to have faded slightly (very hard to pick out). Maybe it spent no time in the barrel?
It seems like this adjunct is mostly extract but it still does taste good. Mouthfeel is on the fuller side with a near creamy texture. If this actually had bourbon, it would be much, much better.

12oz bottle thanks to darrel. pours out dark brown almost black topped with tan head. nose is big hazelnuts chocolate sweetness vanilla bourbon barrel notes. Taste is more of the heavy hazelnuts a nice chocolate sweetness vanilla bourbon barrel goodness. This was a fun one to try.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 1/22/2016. Pours pitch black color with a 1 finger fairly dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roast coffee, hazelnut, caramel, toffee, fudge, toasted biscuit, vanilla, cream, bourbon, oak, light smoke/char, and roast/oak earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/hazelnut, and bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roast coffee, hazelnut, caramel, toffee, fudge, toasted biscuit, vanilla, cream, bourbon, oak, light smoke/char, and roast/oak earthiness. Moderate roast/char bitterness and light bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, hazelnut, caramel, toffee, fudge, toasted biscuit, vanilla, cream, bourbon, oak, smoke, char, and roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/hazelnut, and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/char bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready, and sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is insane flavored imperial stout! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/hazelnut, and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV. Definitely enormous on the hazelnut flavoring; but still very well balanced malt/coffee/barrel flavors. A highly amazing offering all around.
