Olde Deuteronomy is a beer that is high in alcohol, full-bodied, and has a "chewy" maltiness. Because it improves with age, it is called a barley wine.
Olde Deuteronomy is truly a beer to be shared with friends and should be sipped out of a brandy snifter. Each vintage will age and improve for several more years.

Bright amber, nice hop, good toffee, some alcohol in there. Solid effort with the orangey note. Old school hop levels on this one.

33cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a white head. Bread crusts, brown sugars, some resinous hops on the nose. Flavour has lots of dry caramel, burnt bread crusts, a bit waxy, nice hoppy bite. Very solid, this has held up well.

Bottle at volo, 2009 vintage.
Hazy caramel pour with an ample beige head. Aroma of thick caramel malts, and soapy, piney hops. Viscous mouthfeel, light carb, dry bitter finish. More caramel malts dominate, with some sweeter hops in the finish. The alcohol is well hidde. A nice sipper.
