Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can from BuckeyeBoy poured into a glass. Maroon with medium beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good lacing. Taste is caramel malt, bread, some pine hops, and dry finish. I prefer sweeter barley wines

Canned on 03/14/18, from Chris. Dark copper color. Aroma is light alcohol, a little tropical hop, some astringency (cherry). Flavor is similar. Cherry astringency really takes away from an otherwise decent and not overly hopped barleywine.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. Slick body, caramel, spice, candi sugar, boozy, very good.

12 oz. can from a trade with Lectvay, much thanks! Market Amber/ brown color. Aroma is nice ... Rich toffee malt, sugar covered dates, and light pine hops.
Flavor took me by surprise, very smooth. Pine hops do well to balance out the sweet dark fruits and caramel/toffee malts. The bitterness lingers for a good duration after the swallow. Very nice BW from a can!

Poured from can thanks Airforcehops. Red to red brown with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel toffee and dried fruit. Taste is surprisingly smooth and sweet with notes of malt and bread and a nice alcohol burn with slightly bitter finish.

355ml can via trade with Buckeyeboy.

Aftertaste: sweet, mandarins, soft bitterness, bit sour, resinous, hoppy, dried fruits, caramel, malty.

Initial assault of malt, alcohol becomes more prevalant s it warms. Amber body with thin soapy head. Right in the wheelhouse for a barley wine

Big thanks to douglas88 for this one. I think this is my very first barleywine in a can experience, cool. The 12oz-er pours with an opaque amber body with copper hues and supporting a thin light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up musty sweet malts and sticky pine hop resin as well as faint booze. The taste delivers plenty of resiny pine hop bitterness supported nicely by sweet malts, a touch of molasses, sweet booze and some prune to raisin like sweet dark fruity esters. It later picks up a mild earthy hoppiness that joins in toward the finish creating addition depth, interest and harmony. Nice stuff indeed.
