Sampled from tap at Københavnske Øldage 2005 by the man himself. A brown body with a small tan head. Clean and quite mild caramel aroma. Flavor is mild and smooth caramel malt with moderate bitterness. Medium long and bitter aftertaste. Nothing really special but a fine and balanced ale.

Keg
Dark brown color. Ordinary aroma, a lot oRound, sweet, a lot of caramel, the necessary bitterness. No excitement.

A bit overly sweet, with a big bubblegum-like flavor that I tend to notice in some scotch ales that always puts me off - lots of dark fruits like plum and raisin - a bit thin, especially in the finish.

[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] What a treat in Denmark - the keg was flown in by Garret Oliver especially for Københavnske øldage. A red-brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with some notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of alcohol and caramel, leading to a dry end.
