A classic Best Bitter for pints by a roaring fire. Cedar and sweet treats combine beautifully in this easy drinking traditional Olde English Ale

1/3 cask at GBBF Winter. Golden bitters are hit or miss for me, this one was a miss, but not by much. Cloudy golden pour with a small frothy head. Malty aroma, sweet, caramel. Taste was malty with a just bit too much sweetness for me.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 25th January 2025. Coppery amber with shallow foam and spot lacing. Invitingly malty in aroma. Rich burst of ripe plum and apricot fruits on a biscuit malt. This harmonious blend shapes a pleasant finish. Medium bodied with a smooth somewhat clingy mouthfeel.
