Pours clear gold with a white head. Campfire aroma. Taste is campfire, smoked meats, with a smokey finish.

Smoke dominates everything. Also pick up a little malt and is bittersweet with a slightly soft mouth.

16oz can from Tavour. Foggy golden pour, small frothy white head. Smokey aroma, campfire, woody, ash. Taste is smoked meat, ashy, wood, fireplace. Smokey through and through.

10 oz stemless wine glass draft at Cerebral Brewing in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a clear golden with a ½ inch head that falls quickly. The aroma is soft smoke, ham, and cereal grain. The taste is a nice grain helles with the meaty smoke at the front middle and finish. Decently integrated. The palate is light bodied with active carbonation and a dry smokey grain finish.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear bright gold with a huge foamy near white head. Aroma of smoke, burnt wood and malt. Med body. Flavor is the aroma with some Noble hop notes. It's not bacon. It's more like alder used to smoke meat. Really nice!

Aroma has notes of campfire, black peppercorns, grain, amazingness. Taste isn’t quite as impressive. It has all the great attributes of a good Rauchbier, but there’s a slight Band-Aid-ish off-note that definitely spoils the party. I was able to get used to it after awhile, and I still think it’s a good beer, but it’s unfortunate. It has a moderate hoppy bitterness backed by restrained bready malt sweetness.

Damn good smoked helles. Thick bbq flavor but also crispy helles finish.

10 ounce at the brewery - clear gold - moderately smoky, lightly sour, with an underlying noble hop bitterness - watery finish - kind of disappointing.
