Helsingborgs Amber Ale är ett engelskt överjäst öl bryggt på noggrant utvalda råvaror som utgör basen för ölets karaktär. Ölet är ljust i tonen och bjuder på en fruktig upplevelse med tydlig beska – helt enkelt ett välsmakande öl.

Bottled. Clear amber, rich but brief head. Caramelly nose with some butter. Sweetish with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Shallow caramelly malt with no support from any hops and fairly low bitterness. Mediocre.

Nära utgångsdatum men dock ändå två månader kvar och väldigt lite skum skvallrar om att denna öl sett och sagt farväl till sina bästa dagar. Liten doft som skvallrar om engelska influenser både vad gäller malt och humleval. I detta skick lite som en real ale men tunn och smaklös. Lätt blommig humle och mild beska. Lite popcorn i eftersmaken förbryllar lite. Nja, hoppas den var bättre i sin ungdom. Kul att de tänker engelsk ändå.

330ml Bottle (Thanks Blafa) - Amber with a foamy head. Malty aroma with hints of nuts, caramel and grain. Fruity and nutty taste with notes of malt, dried fruit and fudge detected. Nothing outstanding, but balanced and drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty sweetish caramel finish.

First ratingBottle at a blind tasting during Gothenburg Beer Festival 2011. Sampled on Friday September 2, 2011One of the four beers in the "Ale" part of the beer judge part of the festival competition.Scent is applesauce, grainy and sweet. Hazy golden color with a smallish off-white head. Taste is dry, apple, mineral and cream. Mouthfeel is a bit moussy, low bitterness.Personally scored it 36/50 using the shbf old summing protocol and at a shared 3rd place, with all 5 judges together it ended up in fourth place.6/3/6/3/12=3.033 cl bottle from a relative, purchased at Systembolaget in Helsingborg this summer. BB 23.09.2012, batch 54, sampled on October 23, 2012.Marked 4.5% ABV.Clear copper color, lasting off-white head. Sweet, wort, wheat dough scent. Sweet, red berries taste. Sweet, wort, grainy, dry aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, Medium llow bitterness. Finishes fairly dry.Not updating my score since I had the old bottle this time, keeping original score.4/4/5/4/9=2.6Rerate33 cl bottle thanks to my brother!
