Sold off-white head with sustained lacing. Clear amber body. Nose features sharp citrus hops, bourbon and sweet caramel malt. I expected this to be a bit heavy and thick, but it is a fresh and edgy DIPA in the East Coast tradition. Citrus hops with a solid earthy bite, roasted nuts, rich caramel malt, bourbon in balance and hints of vanilla and oak round out a solid profile. This will age well more towards a BW as well.

Bottled 2013 version from eastern district. Ambeey orange clear pour. White head. Aroma is hops and bourbon. Taste is a citrus grapefruit heavy with vanilla bourbon notes. Good but not life changing.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a small white head. Quite sharp aroma of sweet malt syrup, vanilla and mild hint of Bourbon. Aroma is not what to expect for something with IPA within the name, but nice. Flavor is sweet pale malt, ripe fruit, wood, herbs, quite bitter and vanilla. The Bourbon is almost just something floral. Full bodied and long aftertaste. Interesting, but the aroma seems to be the best part.

(Bottle) Hazy brownish golden colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity, hoppy nose with notes of oak wood, vanilla, dried frigs, toffee, hazelnuts and spicy hops. Malty, hoppy taste with resin, oak wood, vanilla, coconut, figs, hazelnuts, liquorice, toffee and a generous spicy/resiny bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich and powerful, with lots of hops and a solid wood character. Very nice.

Amber, hazy with a medium offwhite head. A orange, citrus, wooden barrels and hops sense. Light bitter with a ok orange, wooden barrels, malt and hop end. Medium bodied.
