Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Candy floss, some resin and sweet malts. Pale gold with a thick bubbly head. Grassy and resin, but very light and refreshing. Medium bitterness and a clean finish. Great flavourful session beer.

Light haze on this gold beer. Short pale cream coloured head. Light palate, crispy and semi dry. Mild minerals. Nice hops on a fresh tasting pale malt base. A little orange marmalade, tropical fruits, peach. Semi dry finish with a mild bitter linger and a touch of mint.

Bottle from Central City Liquors, Surrey, BC
It says 2011 on the label, I hope it’s not so old. It pours a golden hazy color with medium sized head. The hop aroma is dry, a bit fruity (peach and apricot) and herbaceous, with a sweaty hint in the end. Dry and lean mouthfeel; light malt flavor, with a strong grassy presence; strong bitterness, with soft piney resins and some citrusy fruitiness (oranges mainly).
A good beer, but without the fresh touch.

500 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with very light head. Aromas of butter, pine, citrus and light malts. Flavors of white wine, melons, spruce, a bit of toffee, and citrus notes. Light body, bitter start and finish. Nice enough.

500 ml bottle, nicked by hand from the rightful owner (who got it as a gift from New Zealand). ABV is 6.0%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of Nelson Sauvin hops (and probably other NZ hops), notes of white grapes and crushed gooseberries. Light bodied for its strength. The flavour has distinct notes of NZ hops, "herbal" and dry white wine and green gooseberries up front, pine in the finish. Good stuff.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a hint of an orange tint and a nice, four centimetre, relatively fast dying just-off-white head. Aroma of grassy and herbal light hops, some pine, a bit of light malt and a bit of a barnyardie funk going on. Medium-bodied; Nice very grassy and floral hop note flavour at first that dies out fairly quickly and shows some light sugars, a bit of yeast and a nice malty backbone that shows very well. Aftertaste is fairly complex with grassy, herbal, floral notes up front with a good malt presence, not any overly cloying or powerful alcohol flavours and a smooth finish. Overall, a nice beer that one should try if you like APAs or lighter beers with a good balance of hops and malt. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Super Jr. Market in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$8.49 sampled at home in Washington on 30-September-2012.

Bottle at Paradiso Dupont. Hazy golden color, large thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma is like hop candy, boy New Zealand really does hops right. Taste is bitter and sour straw, hay, coconut, pineapple, mango. Delicious.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some earthy grass notes with a bit of pine bitterness with a grain backing. Flavor has more of an earthy pine that mellows to more of a grassy note with a hay backing.

From a 500ml bottle on 21/5/2012. Pours a clear light golden with a medium head. Has an exquisite aroma of apricot, peach and passionfruit, along with strong floral and hoppy notes. The flavours include light caramel malt, citrus and stone fruits, and a firm citric hoppy bitterness with a touch of grapefruit. Has a slightly vinous character. Light bodied and very refreshing, but more IPA than golden ale in terms of flavour. Top stuff.
