Bottled. A hazy light yellow beer with a thin beige head. The aroma vitamins, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of vitamins, straw, and honey, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle, as König Wilhelm Helles. It pours a clear, pale golden body under a small, white head. The aroma is rather neutral, some pale malts and fruityness shows up. Almost lemony in the mouth, lightly acidic. Pale malts, bitterness and grass too. Medium body, quite dry. Some bitterness in the dry, fruity finish. Rather boring and uninteresting, but not foul in any way. 120217

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Slightly doughy pale malty nose with delicately herbal hops in the background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Pale malt-character with shy notes of grain and white bread; sweet-bitter malty finish with some herbal spots. A clean and unspectacular Helles. 31.XII.11

Bottle (as St. Georg Lager, 4.9%, very similar label): Pale greenish-golden, a bit unclear, smaller white head, that quickly collapses but leaves a stable foamy layer, sweetish grainy nose, some hops detectable; light to medium sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied as well, quite soft; short sweetish-grainy finish, some light bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite O.K. .....

bottle, donated by pivnizub! Clear golden yellow with a large white head. Malty nose. Very malty in a sweet way, slightly grainy with a touch of vanilla, honey and sweetcorn. Balanced off with a good and surprisingly high amount of aromatic and bitter hops, which give the beer a bitter-sweet character. Many beers of the style can be boring - this one definitely isn’t! I can also feel a Bohemian touch in the malt and hops... lovely!
