Hazy orange - amber beer, good white head. Light tangerine - orange nose. Light palate, a little airy and with a light touch of dryness. Good fresh hops. Tangerine marmalade with a little Satsuma. Mild grapefruit and grape and a little of that dirtyness you would associate with Nelson Sauvin. Light semi dry finish. Very nice pale ale. Hope we get a full IPA with this hop.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury, Kent 16th July 2011, consumed at home 17th July 2011 Pours golden, it’s hazy with some white bubbles. There is a definate cat’s piss aroma on the nose along with wet biscuit, sweet warm mouldering cut leaves and grass left to mulch for a few days. Soft in the mouth, quite smooth bitterness, sweet, soft maltiness, some brine, tangy at end like a watery citrus jam. Fine. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle at my East Croydon beer tasting, thanks to Leighton. It pours light hazy orange, with a thin bubbly white head and low carbonation. The nose is cat piss, grass, sweet orange, melon, lemon and cabbage. The taste is orange, lemon, lime, cat piss, biscuit, pine, brown bread and grass, with a lighter bitter finish. I would like to have a more intense Riwaka flavour to make a proper judgment of this hop.
