Some Magic from Stu (Magic Rock UK) & some Tricks from Brouwerij de Molen. As you figured, a name for this beer wasn’t difficult to find. Stuart brought some Cryo hops with him for the brew. That was a first for us but certainly not a last. The use of these lupulin hop powders offers us possibilities to enhance hop flavor and aroma (even more), brew efficiency and sustainability. So we’re probably not done with cryo yet… Back to the beer: a hoppy, fruity imperial IPA with the Vermont yeast subtile in the aftertaste.

Bottle from Flink Gegist, Delft. Aroma is fruity hops, juicy tropical fruits, citrus, orange, passion fruit, herbal-ish Mosaic, apricot, malt, tangerine, some pine resin and dankness. Flavour is sweetish with a firm bitter finish. Body is medium. Very juicy tropical fruits basket IIPA, has that NE dankness and a bold bittersweet flavour. A treat!

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Citrusy hoppy and caramel malty aroma, notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, some lemon peel, a touch of almond, hints of dried fruit, raisin, date, a yeasty spicy touch. Taste is minimally sugary, caramel malty and citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, hints of dried fruit, date, fig, a yeasty spicy touch, minimally papery overtones. Full body, oily texture, minimally sticky palate. Not really Vermont-ish, rather Holland-ish if not exclusively Bodegraven-ish (and slightly West-Yorkshire-ish).

On tap at Pivoteka Zagreb. Dark golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, sweet malty and hoppy nose. Sweet malty, fruity, light grassy hoppy and noticable alcohol with light bitterness in the finish. Nice one but a bit too sweet.

Tap at Pivoteka. Hazy amber body, off white head. Sweet citric aroma, very much sweet, caramelly, but clean. Smooth silky taste, citric, bit candyish but not cloying. Not Vermontish, but actually tasty, liquid candy. I almost don't like it... But I do!

330ml bottle. Pours murky orange brown with no head. Aroma is surprisingly malty, caramel, dank, pine, resin, tropical fruits. Taste is also quite malty, feeling like this is more west coast than Vermont, sweet caramel, toffee, malts, piney resin, dank, tropical fruits, marmalade, grapefruit, orange peel, bittersweet finish, those sweet malts almost cloying now. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Seemed like a hybrid west coast NEIPA to me. Nice flavours though, just a little disappointing given the breweries involved.

From a 330ml bottle on 17/11/2017. Pours a think, hazy golden with almost no head. Has a big citrus, stone and tropical fruit aroma, with some floral notes. Taste wise, it's sweet and very fruit forward - orange, peach and mango, along with lots of honey, followed by good dose of grapefruit, peel and mild spice, leading to a pretty firm, satisfying bitterness. Has a thick, slick texture with moderate carbonation. Exhibits supreme sweet/bitter balance, is really substantial, yet extremely moreish and oh so easy to down. Just magnificent.
