Opaque black beer, big pale tan head. Light palate, a little soft and dry. Obvious alcohol. Dark malt that has both bitter and sweet chocolate. Maple is not obvious. Sweet candy fruit before the alcohol dry finish. Bit clunky but all right.

Another brew thanks to Terminus at the Annual Black Friday tasting. It pours with a mahogany body supporting a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up blueberry and molasses covered apple wedges as well as a bit of graham cracker. The taste has similar notes as I get a pleasing rich experience full of blueberry fruitiness, some raisins, a snippet of dark roasted malts and a slipper yet sticky slope of molasses.

Bottle sample at Sour&Bitter Copenhagen. Deep black in the glass, small head. Earthy-malty aroma. Starts intense malty, earthy, some roasty notes, but not too dry. Some fruity hints. Finish dry-malty with notes of cacao and strong coffee. Interesting.

Draught at the brewery with RBSG. Reddish brown liquid with medium light tan head. Aroma of pepper, spices, lots of smoke, roasted malt and cereal. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of smoke and roasted malt. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

[5/10/12] Bottle sample at Sour & Bitter. Dark brown with a light brown head. Smoky malt aroma. Dry flavor, kinda bitter, a bit alcoholic, with quite a lot of smokiness. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Sour & Bitter Festival CPH 2012. Dark brown with a small tan head. Licorice and dark malt dominate the aroma with a touch of smoke and tar. Sweet malty flavour with quite a bit of roasted character.

Sample @ the Sour & Bitter event in Copenhagen. Pours hazy dark brown, almost black, with a small creamy mocha head that is rather quick to dissipate and leaves almost no trace. Smell is sweet with coffee, grapes, black currants, vanilla, liquorice fudge, dark spicy bread, molasses, caraway, alcohol and hints of soup stock. Taste is sweet and bitter with liquorice root, black pepper, dark bread, molasses, caraway, soup stock plums and raisins. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, round and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with bread, spices and dark sugars.

Bottle 750ml.Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, roasted, chocolate, dark berry, dried dark fruit, smoke notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt.
