Barrel aged ale using a variety of sea based ingredients. This beer is a celebration of the British coast designed to evoke memories of seaside visits to windswept northern resorts or secluded coves in Dorset to observing beautiful turquoise seas in the Hebredies. The beer swings towards a mineral heavy pet nat txacoli wine with oxidative Jura elements and the distant acetic acid notes add a chip shop vinegar note. A true sensory experience.

Bottle from Hogs Back Brewery at CBJ Tasting. Opaque jammy orange. Flavourwise it is dank and fruity and sugary. Flavourwise it has very tart citrus with underlying pulpy sugary fruit. Light-medium bodied. Slick..Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Ice.

Tasting at CBJ, thanks to Bearded Avenger. A light haze on this gold beer, small and short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Funky savoury Brett vibes work well with ripe dried fruits and tart dried fruits. A very mild acid on the semi dry finish. Okay.

Bottle via the online shop. Clear gold. No head. Where to start. Nose has brine. Sherry cask. Mussel juice. Lime juice. Taste is a bit briny with a lime juice tartness. Simple and easy drinking despite the madness of the concept. There’s nothing like this out there.
