Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Also had this on cask at Shakespeare’s a while ago. Unclear, very dark brown. Thin, fully lacing, lasting, leggy tan head. Looks great. Nose has rich dark roast malt. Liquorice. A hint of ground coffee bean. Dark chocolate. Charred pineapple. Hint of grapefruit. Some strawberry in there, too. Taste has pretty solid bitterness. Whisper of chocolate sweetness. Toothsome mouthfeel while staying smooth, with foamy carbonation. Lingering fruit and roast malt bitterness to finish. Packs a mighty flavoursome punch at just 4.3%. Awesome beer.
