Beer and music are a great combination and in Ed Cosens, from Reverend & the Makers, you have an accomplished musician with a great passion for home brewing. After the success of working with Ed on a Reverend Summer Ale and an American Brown, we have come together for a third time to celebrate the launch of the band’s new album, ’Mirrors’. The beer pours a bright gold in colour with a tropical aroma and flavours of grapefruit, sherbet and citrus.

Keg at the hanging bat.. Amber.. Thin white lacing soft.. Soft sweet toffee fruit.. Light floral. Soft dry fruit.. Light hoppy finish

500ml bottle from Dram Shop, Walkley - Clear pale yellow colour, thin wgite head. Great citric nose, loys of little tropicals, grapefruit, sweet citrus fruits. Taste was a little disappointing in comparison, dry finish, but nothing between times. Still quite nice though.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, very pale gold. Thin white head. Lemon and melon. Touch of nicely fusty hop. Creamy, vanilla malts. Taste has crisp, citrus bitterness. Soft malt sweetness. Bright, clean mouthfeel. Finishes much the same, with a dryness on the close. Quaffable.

Bright clear pale gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry and finely minerally crisp. Thin malts, not that sweet. Good hops here - light, clean and bitter. Some floral bitterness in to bitterish yellow grapefruit and a little orange and orange peel. Light finish. Long peel bitter linger. Nicely done. So clean and bright.

Consumed at home, on Loz’s birthday Saturday 14th November 2015. We picked this up at the Beer Shop in The Corn Exchange, Leeds. Pours clear gold, excellent clarity looks great it has a nice sheen. This is one of the best Thornbridge beers that I have had in some time, a little creamy on the nose (vanilla) with a nice clean hoppiness, I also fully agree with the lemon sherbert deScription. Refreshing with a hint of lemon, clean, fruity and really, really easy drinking. A nice tropical edge that I hadn’t noticed at first asserts itself late on. Great beer A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

500ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours clear pale gold with good, short-lasting white head. Initial aroma is vibrant hoppy tropical fruit and citrus, more so than expected from Thornbridge. Taste is creamy tropical hops with lovely fresh citrus and lemon. Quite a flavoursome little thing this.
