(Bottle) Hazy golden colour with lasting, frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with white bread, lemon, hay, a touch of honey and cereal. Malty, fruity taste with notes of white bread, peaches, honey, hay, citrus, cereal and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Mainly grain, hay and some lemon. Apparently lacking some malt character, but decently drinkable.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a glazed over pale golden to yellow color with a slight transparency all about allowing a fair amount of carbonation to be seen rising.
The smell seemed to have an almost overly cooked corn to it. A light weird grainy / grassy heavy sort of kick of wheat came out a bit.
The taste was moderately grassy and somewhat grainy - sweet but an almost overly cooked to almost come across as bland.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sessionability that wanted to show its face but something from the taste makes it somewhat hard to put down.
Overall, I’m not exactly sure what happened with this one but I can’t see for any reason why I would really want to try this again.

33cl bottle, labeled Green’s original blond ale. BBE 06/2018. From Systembolaget. Pours hazy golden with a huge, frothy white head. Nicely dry, with orange peel, spicy notes, pear in aroma. Flavor has fermened sweet fruits, belgian yeast, spicy notes. Alcohol is coming through a little. More dry than sweet finish. Quite nice as it is, but feels raw, think I’d like this even better when a little older. Too straightforward now.

Riktigt trevlig.
