Otter Bitter is our ‘session’ beer. A beer designed to slip down easily and refresh all parts of the body that need refreshing. High in taste and low in gravity makes Otter Bitter a long term friend.

Otter Bitter has great condition which adds to its flavour profile. Fruit notes and well balanced malty flavours are tinged with a hint of bitterness to make Otter Bitter a Devon beer of distinction.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Opaque golden-brown. Thin foamy white head sticks to the rim. Aroma has initial citrus followed by toffee and malts. Flavourwise it's the same. Sour edge to a light sweet core. Light-medium bodied. Thin to slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. OK.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#30. ST HELIER. Darker clear golden, last beer of the first day in St Helier, capital of Jersey. I've had this before but was certainly due a rerate. Pleasant caramels found amongst a gentle bitterness.

Half-pint, real ale. Rich lacing from a declining off-white head, clear amber body. Inviting smell of leafy hops and mid-sweet malts. Fine blended taste of grass, mild caramel malts and a touch of leafy hops towards a bittersweet finish. Drink very well. Nice. (Liverpool, 12.02.2025).

Pint from the cask at The Manor House, West Bexington. Pours amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel & hops. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Passable, so I'd like to try it elsewhere.

Cask at Ladram Bay Holiday Park, Devon. Clear amber with smooth off white head. Notes of biscuit, caramel, some floral hopping. Fairly light bitter which suited me perfectly on a hot day. Light dryness, refreshing.

From cask at the Jolly Farmers, Oxford, ASM on Inspector Morse Pub Crawl, except that this is not one of them. Hazy dark golden. Dense and persistent off-white head. Aroma and tare of pale malt, succade and so on. Low bitterness. Not bad. M
