The Crazy Donkey label signifies the first IPA (India Pale Ale) produced in Greece. Received with enthusiasm by beer aficionados near and far, the Crazy has travelled to Australia, the US, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland and the UK. Large quantities of Cascade and Nelson Sauvin hops yield a plethora of aromatic bitterness - marrying an arguably tropical start to a dry finish, for a distinctly different drinking adventure.

Hazy gold beer, good cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, and with decent fine minerally carbonation. Airy dry malt, light sweetness. Fair bit of spice in the mid. Esters. Orange peel and a touch of pine. Smooth finish brings more esters. Not too bad.

Smaksprøve på bryggeriet og delt flaske på hotellbalkongen i Kamari (Santorini): uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Både aroma og smak overbeviser, dette er uten tvil den beste ølen jeg har fått her på Santorini - furunål, appelsinmarmelade, karamell, mango. God balanse og lang, fruktig ettersmak.

Cheers Mat for bringing a 75cl bottle to the Jan 2016 Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting. Dull orange pour, hazy body, off-white head. Yeasty and off-fruits in the nose and taste, weird fruity flavours weave in and out: herbal and different. A strange one really and difficult to score, not your usual IPA that’s for sure.

75cl bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, Jan 16, courtesy of me. Thanks to Rouhlas for the trade. Pours a hazy orange with foamy head. Vibrant soapy lime and piss aroma. Interesting thorny floral hop profile with orange pith and bitter herbal notes. It’s flavoursome, but not sure it’s my bag.
