Der Schaum ist schön feinporig und sehr schön cremig. Der Antrunk ist frisch-malzig mit schönem milden Hopfenaroma. Im Hauptteil entfaltet sich ein sehr gelungenes, mildes Röstmalzaroma mit einer gut dazu passenden Herbe. Anklänge von Kaffee bzw. Espresso sind vorhanden. Auch dunkle Schokolade trifft es ganz gut. Der Nachgeschmack ist schön röstmalzig mit angenehmer Herbe; auf der Zunge bleibt eine lange, röstmalzig-karamellige Note zurück. --> Ein sehr schönes "2+/1-"-Dunkel. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Hazy chestnut color with compact head. Aroma of bread, roasted nuts. Caramel flavor, dryish, with cereals and malt snackbar; ordinary bitterness; traces of roasted nuts in the end.
Not bad, but quite simple, and missing a fresh character.

Light roasted malt aroma. Dark brown color. Light sweet, light roasted, light chocolate taste.

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top.Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, raosted, caramel, oxidide malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, bread and bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20111211]

Bügelverschlußflasche: Clear, amber, visible carbonation; bigger persistent loose off-white head; caramel, toasted malt and cooked vegetables in the aroma; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; toasted malt - with an almost coffeeish tinge - dominates the robust sweet-malty finish. Tastes much better than it smells.......

(swing top bottle) Clear, brown colour with a fluffy beige head. Moderately sweet toast-malty nose with caramel, sour dough and a subtle fruity touch, accompanied by herbal hops. Bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, medium, slightly crispy carbonation. Roast-malty, quite burnt taste with caramel and light liquorice-like, herbal spice; dry and bitter, slightly hoppy finish with hints of caramel and coffee in the aftertaste. Not a perfectly rounded brew but clean and pretty tasty enough (01.05.08).

Malziger Antrunk, wenig süß, dafür deutlich herb. Frisch, etwas getreidig, angenehm. Im Mittelteil wird das Bier etwas hopfig, die Malzigkeit ist etwas weniger intensiv, wird aber schnell wieder kräftiger und etwas röstig. Die Hopfigkeit klingt nun langsam aus und lässt das Malz wieder deutlicher in den Vordergrund. Harmonisches und leckeres Dunkles.
