500ml bottle from somewhere, most likely Westhill. It pours clear mber - brown with handsome off -white head. The aroma is biscuit, bread, earth, wood, toasted nut, cereal, underlying sweetness and some fruit cake. The taste is firm, dry, bitter - sweet, nutty, dried fruits, fruit cake, twist of orange peel, brown bread, digestive biscuits, earth and some leafiness with a dry, toasty grain finish. Average body and fine - moderate carbonation. Perfectly fine bitter and a good tribute a once pretty great cask ale.
