Cask the Ship Inn, Stonehaven. I pours clear brown with a decent bubbly white head. The aroma is earthy, twiggy, woody, dries fruits, red berry, strawberries and toffee. The taste is dry, earthy, toothy, woody, leathery, tartness, red berries, raisin, sultana, cranberry, light acidity, leafy, tannin, black tea and twiggy with a drying, toothy twiggy finish. Average carbonation and soft carbonation. Twiggy and slightly harsh.
