It is made from four malts to give full body and with four additions of English hops it has a lovely aroma and gentle hop bitterness.

This rating system really conspires against a beer like this, but it is a success nonetheless. The taste is lead by bready malt, with grain and light caramel sweetness following soon there after. Elements are well balanced and round out nicely as the taste grows in your mouth. Better than the numbers show!

330ml can. Clear gold, small white head, average retention. Aroma is sweet and quite grainy, slight hint of grass. Taste is also grainy and sweet, lightly herbal with a long dry bitter finish that creeps up on you. Not really clean and crisp like a a great Pilsner but I like the down to earth nature of this brew. Its more balanced than their Session and Diversion IPAs.

Can from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with initially a nice fluffy head. Then it falls away quickly. Nose - mainly malt. Looking for grass or spice notes from the hops but not there. Taste - more malt, clutching to a little bit of bitterness at the very end (almost an afternote). Palate - light bodied, just needs more bitterness on the finish. Overall - lacks zing, which let's face it, is what a Pils is supposed to do best.

Keg at White Horse, Needham Market. Vague grassy aroma. Copper gold. A few strands of bubbly white head. Very light bitter with some equally light caramel sweetness. Bitterness more evident into the finish and a malty aftertaste. Light bodied. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Drinkable.

Clear golden color with a fine white head. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Grainy, malty and herbal flavor. Decent pilsner.

500ml bottle from East of England Co-Op Foodstore, shared on the train from Norwich to Ipswich and Chelmsford. Firm white head over a clear golden body. Modest grainy nose. Taste of grainy malts and vague grassy hops. Semi-dry malty ending. Soft in the mouth. Accepted (18.02.2017).
