Cask at Four Thieves. It pours clear amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet, brown bread, orange muffin, tangerine, pine and wood. The taste is pretty bitter upfront, pine needles, grapefruit, pithy lemon, pretty zesty, earth, resin, peppery spice and soap with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A bit drying and soapy after a while, but it’s a decent beer anyhow.

Cask at the four thieves, cj. A reddy amber brown coloured pour with a lasting stodgy off white head. Aroma is big piney hop, brown bread, lemon. Some lace. Flavour is composed of nutty brown bread, little piney, toasted pine, lemon hop. Possible closer to a black IPA. Palate is moderate carbonation, tangy hop resin, little woody. Good.
