Thanks Simon T. Malty caramelly nose. The beer starts mild with creamy malty aroma, fruity, dry. Roast, dry hazelnuts, malt. Dry caramelly and medium bitter finish. Nice one!

Bottle shared with AshtonMcCobb. Get to Norfolk Tasting. Worse gusher than the last one, lost quite a chunk. Pours hazy amber with a big white head. Aromas of yeasty sherbet, light chocolate. Taste is light toffee, yeast. Not great.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark honey with a hint of red. However, it was a gusher. The head hangs around a bit. Nose - lemon yoghurt. Taste - toffee with a very yeasty edge to it. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and an astringent yeasty finish. Overall - not great. Some issue with the yeast from the fact that it gushed and the fact that there is a dominant yeast aroma and taste.

500ml Bottle conditioned BBD of Mar 2013 @ home on 27 Dec 2012: poured slowly into a UK pint sleeve, no sediment left the bottle. Looked good: brown to amber body, clear and clean. The head an off-white uneven covering of foam. Malts to the fore in smell and taste: slight chocolate and toffee in the nose with hints of fruits and yeast. The taste was drier than the aromas indicated and the beer was actually quiet dry and bitter in the mouth. Different but not really my bag. Nothing wrong with it at all: just didn’t do it for me, to dry and lacked ’umph’.

Kings Head, Norwich. Clear brown beer. Semi soft dry palate. Sweetish malt with an undertone of banana and bubblegum. Finishes semi dry with a little hop fruit coming through. Not bad.
