Hops don’t get wilder than this! The positively manicAmerican hop combination leads the normally restrained East Kent Goldings and Fuggles on a wild hoppy taste journey!

Bottle bought at Sainsburys in Pinner. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, piney aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, crisp, citrus fruit, bitter. Very refreshing, I quite liked this.

50cl bottle from Sainsburys. Pale amber with a rapidly fading white head; aroma has freh, dusty, grassy hops, some pine and some honey; hoppy flavour with some weak, flabby malts failing to support; then a mouth-filling hoppy fruitiness to end. Pretty good stuff - not as full on as a Yankee IPA, but it shows what we can do over here (well, north of the border anyway).

Bottle at home in London. Part of the Sainsburys Beer Championship. Pours an effervescent gold with a small, white head. Aroma has quite a nice hop character, lots of grass, some delicate citrus, mild pee. Medium sweet, well balanced flavor. Toasty malts, light caramel, grassy bitterness, faint tangy citrus. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Faintly sticky finish, bready toast, toasted hay, mild pine, some grass and dandelion in the back of the throat. Quite fresh overall. Very good beer.

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is grass and mango. Taste starts with grassy malt and a strong bitter finish. Think it worked better on cask.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys beer competition 2011. Clear paleish gold with lasting thick white head. Wow that’s a lot hoppier than I expected. Yes a really hoppy APA style beer with a bit too much bitterness for the malt. And it’s a bit to bitter and peppery rather than fruity. Malts are very pale and not very dominant. Not much yeast. But there is a huge amount of white pepper bitterness on the finish. Ok and a bit of a surprise, mind you not that easy to drink cos of the bitterness on the finish.
