A Northern German-style Pilsner brewed in Northern California. This pilsner is brewed entirely with pale two-row Weyermann, true to the style. A special blend of Bavarian Hallertau and Tettnang hops are used during brewing, adding to the sharp finish.

If sudzy is trying to imitate that flavor of pilsners from the old country, they did it. Everything from the slight veggie aroma to the pilsner bitter bite. Not terribly over the top.

12 oz bottle purchased at the Pizza Port bottle shop in Carlsbad, California. Pour is a clear light yellow soft golden with a 1 1/2 inch pure white head. The head falls with thick bubbles. Aroma is fresh cereal grain, along with light floral and nice grass in the back. Taste is cracked cereal grain, followed close behind by the floral grassiness, which has some sharpness to it. Finishes with earthy mineral floral yeast. Palate is light bodied, though has a nice less filtered weight to it. Dry clean gypsum finish. Nice clean easy drinking Pils.

On tap. Pours with a clear yellow body and a quick to fade white head. Aromas of grain, grass, lemon and pilsner malt (it seems). Flavors are bready, cornbread, pilsner malt, grassy, light lemon and a touch of salinity. Dry and light. Medium carbonation. Good but bland. No noticeable mistakes, but it isn’t memorable nor assertive.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw and some malt - quite clean. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and some bread, leading to a medium bitter finish.

Large white head topping a light yellow body that exhibits a slight haze. Fresh lemony hop aroma. Good bitterness with a solid malt balance. Smooth and well done. Thanks to droopy49 for the chance to try this one.

Draft. A little overcarbonated, but it's a good decent beer. There is a malt presence that's followed by a dry hop flavor, but I'd like to see just a few more hops in this one. It's good, it's clean, but it just lacks something to push it over the top.
