Bottle: Poured a brown with red edges. Aroma is malty some toffee. Taste is bitter and yet strong caramel malts backbone.

Smooth malty beginning. Very dry grainy with a nice smooth round aftertaste. Caramel, hazelnuts. Very dry with a grainy and moderate bitter dusty dry finish. Nice.

500 ml sampled in 2009. Amber body with a nice beige head. Good, strong malt aroma with light burnt caramel. Weak flavor of malt, caramel and some bitterness. Pretty one-dimensional and uninspired.

50cl bottle from Tesco. Copper with a loose cream head; light, leafy, hop aroma; soft caramel malt flavour; with a reasonable dry bitterness to finish. Not bad for a bottled bitter.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, toasted, caramel, light metalic. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, thin, toffee - caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20111120]

Clear brown beer. Dry crisp palate. Dry malt and then some pretty bitter hop without any hop flavour. Very dry finish. Hard work!

Bottled. Murky reddish brown colour along with creamy mediumsized head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild wooden and flowery hoppy notes. Flavour is quite close to this, but has a mildly bittery finish. A pleasant bottled bitter.

Flaske 0,5l delt med Rune. Mørkebrun på farge. Pent kremaktig skum. Kraftig aroma av karamell. Smaken er litt forsiktig. Malt og karamell framtredende. Mye smak i forhold til alkoholstyrken. Passet helt fint til rømmegrøt & spekemat på St.Hansaften. KI=4

500ml bottle shared with Finn at our social gathering on Midsummer Eve. Bubbly, beige head over a deep red-brown body. Malty aroma lightly roasted. Dry hops, grain and caramel malts in a flavour that ends up with a smooth bitter twist. The ale was, in fact, quite well paired with cured meats and porridge made with soured cream (Tromsø, 23.06.2009).
