Stout blend? Looks like a glass of amarone. Legs. Ring of white head. Nose has... Port. Huge port. Cocoa. Big grape. Booze. High acid. Some barrel, big red wine vinegar. Some dried fruits. Full bodied, long. Hot. 7 5 7 4 14

Draft at Mieza Blendery. Poured a ruby red color with a small, wispy head. Feels like the bigger brother to Angels & Astronauts, which I had immediately before. Vinous red wine aroma, with vanilla bourbon barrel. However the barrel aroma is relatively light. Flavor is red wine, sherry, vanilla, bourbon. Stout wouldn't really be the first beer style I would assume this would be, based on the finished product. Alcohol is really well masked given the ABV.

Lots going on here. Lots of in your face aroma. Big bourbon, and lots of roast still. The grapes are pretty huge here as well. Kind of clashes for me--probably almost my least favourite of all the otherwise very good Mieza beers. Very tart finish, with some lingering oak. Also a lingery oily slickness from stout. Tap at brewery.
